Mrs. Sofia Rapti (MSc)

Sofia joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on March. 2014 . She is a physicist and obtained her bachelor degree from the Physics Department, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of her MSc thesis involved the synthesis of composites based on  porous metal organic frameworks and alginic acid with applications in ion exchange columns for removal of Cr(VI) from water. After finished with her MSc studies, she was accepted as PhD candidate (May 2016) and is currently working on ion exchange MOFs and their composites.

 

MSc 

Mrs Eleftheria Papazoi. 

Eleftheria joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on Oct. 2015 . She is a chemist and obtained her bachelor degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of her MSc thesis involves the synthesis of photoluminescent metal organic frameworks with applications as sensors for gases or solvents.

Mrs Christina Bika. 

Christina joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on May 2016 . She is a physicist and obtained her bachelor degree from the Department of Physics, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of her MSc thesis involves the synthesis and study of metal sulfides with potential applications in heavy metal ion sorption and sensing.

Mr Stefanos Simos. 

Stefanos joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on Oct. 2017. He is a chemist and obtained his bachelor degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of his MSc thesis involves the synthesis and study of MOFs and MOF composites with potential applications in sorption of pharmaceuticals from water.

Mr. Petros Georgianos.

Petros joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on Oct. 2018. He is a chemist and obtained his bachelor degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of his MSc thesis involves the synthesis and study MOF composites with potential applications in wastewater treatment.

Mr. Dimitris Evangelou.

Dimitris joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on Feb. 2019. He is a chemist and obtained his bachelor degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of his MSc thesis involves the synthesis and study of new MOFs and MOF composites with ion sorption properties.

Mrs Christiana Kollia. 

Christiana joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on Oct. 2018 . She is a chemical engineer and obtained her bachelor degree from the Department of Chemistry Engineering, University of Patras, Greece. The project of her MSc thesis involves the synthesis and study of new MOFs with potential applications in oxyanion sorption and sensing.

Post doc

Dr. Anastasia Pournara. 

Anastasia joined the group of Dr. E. Manos on 2015 . She is a biologist and obtained her PhD degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. The project of her research in  involves the fabrication and study of ion exchange columns based on MOF composites for application in wastewater treatment.
